I can't find any good tires for my 240z, nothing fits on the 14x7 wheels except these Radials. I don't think they look bad, but what kind of performance can I expect out of them?

one of my friends has them on his 95 marquis. That tire design has been around for decades, don't expect it to be a super gripping tire. It works, thats about it.

That's pretty much what I figured. The only other option really is to move up to a 15" wheel and try to find something there that'll fit. But I really like the 14" wheels. Guh. Choices.

I haven't owned any Radial T/As, but I've driven lots . I like 'em.

15" has a ton of good tire choices. Save these for nostalgia. Put on some 15" wheels with a decent tire and enjoy it.

They are a meh tire. I didn't like them when I had them on my focus. They did last about 50k miles though. They don't have any grip and you will be able to easily chirp the tires when ever you want.

i have 14x7's too so I feel your pain, I bought some nexen cp6something-blah's
adequate in the dry, woeful in the wet. They're a stop gap until I save the money for some new wheels in more modern dimensions.

I had a set on my '84 Colt Turbo when I bought it. All I remember about them is that were really noisy when they broke traction.
I don't think I have heard anyone say anything about them. Nothing nice, or nothing bad. It's just a tire.
For some reason however, they always seem to find their way onto muscle cars and 80s sports cars today.

I actually have a relevant experience haha I used to run Radial TA's on my Datsun 280ZX. I thought the tires were fine. They weren't super stiff but nothing with that sidewall ratio will be.
I got plenty of miles out of mine and found them to be an all around great tire. It's just not really a performance tire. It's better than cheapo stuff but these were really designed for straightline stuff and cruising.
Unless you'tr tracking this thing, I'd say you'd be fine.

I think they just find their way on now because they're the only decent choice in a 215 or 225 for a 14" wheel.
But glad to hear some experience.

Yeah, not tracking just some really hard backroads driving. I think I'll get them as an intermediary before I upgrade wheels.

Yeah, I haven't heard anything good about those Nexens. I think I'm gonna make the BFGs my stopgap.

Yeah, I think that's gonna be the long term goal. For now I think I'm just gonna get the Radials, and save up for some nice wheels and tires next go around. And in the meantime I guess I'll do some suspension work.

They might even be pretty good, and they suit the vintage of your car. I would have gone with them too but I live in Australia and no one stocks them except for a handful of specialty importers.
I had plenty more options for my front wheels which are 14x6.5

I have them on my '96 Cherokee. They seem to work great and give way more grip than I ever thought possible. They seem to wear really well and do a decent job in pretty much any condition.
Of course, these are 275 width (over stock 225). Previous owner's upgrade that I've stuck with.
